8 Months

As per usual I am two and a half weeks late with posting this. I just don't know why it takes me so long to get this posted...

This little cutie pie is EIGHT months...

I know I have said it before but how does this happen?

i just got the kids pictures taken and of course Abbi didn't disappoint...

Look at this little cutie! What an Angel!

Look at those beautiful eyes - she is such a pretty girl!

She is not even close to standing - thank goodness! But I did paint her toenails for the first time, I love me some painted baby toenails!

Abbi is seriously the best baby. She is super well behaved, rarely whines, and smiles at everyone.

She loves to cuddle with Mom. She loves to grab Dad's face. She loves to pull Madie's hair. And she loves to laugh at Slade.

She has the army crawl mastered and will get on all fours and move one or two "steps" and then go back to crawling on her belly.

She is officially into everything.

She eats cereal and a fruit for breakfast, a fruit and a vegetable for lunch and cereal, a vegetable and a fruit for dinner. She loves to eat!

We are still nursing (HOORAY). I am really hoping that we can make it to a year and as of right now I think we should be able to do it.

She pinches and scratches. Especially when she is trying to fall asleep or nursing. She has even drawn blood on me. I try to keep her nails short but sometimes they sneak up on me and I pay the price for it.

Abbi is learning to clap, doing "so big" and give kisses.

Abbi is so sweet. I am totally obsessed with her.

Mothers Day

I don't have much to say about Mother's Day.

So why am I bringing it up - it was a couple weeks ago.

Well I just wanted to write down a few things that I want to remember about this day.

It was just like any other Sunday for the most part... My highlight however was getting to see my Madie sing to me at church.

You see this is the first year that one of my kids has been able to go up and sing to me. (Slade always spends Mother's  Day with his mom - rightfully so).

When it was time I told her that it was time to go up front and sing with the other kids. She eagerly joined the masses and made her way to the front. As always the littlest kids are right at the front. Ben looked at her and put his pointer fingers at the corners of his mouth telling her to smile. She mimicked him and then gave him a great big double thumbs up. So cute. She would sing a few lines and then turn to us, do her smile/thumbs up combo and then go back to singing (or looking around).

Totally made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I totally love being a Mom!

Oh and Madie has been telling me that I am her "best mom" lately. I am not sure how many other moms she thinks that she has but I am sure glad that I am the best one!
LOVE HER!

Strawberries

Abbi tried strawberries for the first time tonight.

I think that she likes them!

I put some in her little mesh bag thingy (you know the things that they get the taste but none of the big chunks). She kept getting so excited that she would rub it on her face and she got VERY mad when I took it away from her to put more into it.

Needless to say she went right into the bathtub after this.

I sure love this little cutie!

In related news she turned eight months this past week. I got new pictures of the kids done this past week and will get them back on Tuesday. I will post more about Abbi then.
